thanks for the nice app (and the Deep Dive Blog Post. Because of that I immediately bought the Pro Version although I do not need any of that functionality 😅). I really enjoy the speed (and the lack of context and input device switching) over the macos Emoji Picker. However, relatively often, I type the ":" character without the need for an emoji (e.g. the "gendern" in German like Kolleg:innen). The need to dismiss the Emoji Picker window is rather off-putting and does not feel like the rest of app experience.
I would very much enjoy, if I could change the activation character to something else. Similar how we can change the Shortcut for opening the app directly. If I could change the "inline search" to the "::" or similar that would be perfect since even here on Github there is builtin emoji picker on ":" which opens as well.
For my primary use case it would also help if I could choose to only activate the inline search when the ":" is typed in isolation i.e. with a Whitespace in front or as a first Character, like here on Github. (or for THIS SPECIFIC use case also a blocklist for ":innen" would also work)

i implemented the free assignment of any character. use the auto updater to get the newest version.
however, i think ":" is still very good as a shortcut and the global standard. i added
:innenas a default blocklist entry, as this is pretty common in german.any follow up we talked in private - let's create a new discussion thread - shall we?
